Hi. Mando? This is Ezra Bridger - the other Jedi you ran into in quick succession in Exile a bit ago.
I just wanted to thank you for looking after Obi-Wan. And also to let you know he's from about decade before The Clones War, hence some of the confusion.
[By the time he gets the message, he's probably cooled down, and or got talked down enough to think with a clearish head again. When he does see it, there's a heavy sigh on his end.
Oh for...
He started this, he should probably help fix it.]
I'll find him. Don't know which direction he went, do you?
[Honestly, if he sat down and meditated properly, and then tried to find Obi-Wan's presence in the Force, he could probably track him clear across Folkmore.
That feels like an invasion of privacy, at the moment. Another violation of trust.
For sll that the current problem is the result of Ezra trying to fulfill the promise he made Obi-Wan, that if Obi-wan was sure he wanted an answer and asked, Ezra would tell him.
There as no way this was ever going to be easy, he reminds himself.]
The train station, first, I think. He could be anywhere.
[This wouldn't be a current problem if Din hadn't gotten mad. But between the implied accusations and being a Legend. He let his temper and the info slip.]
Train station is a place to start. I can work with it. [Din doesn't need magic powers to track someone. He would've been a crappy bounty hunter otherwise.]
I don't like people that are dishonest. [I-ironic given the situation.] However, I am willing to be more honest. I am aware I'm ten cycles are more ahead of most from our world. I won't give out anything, unless you request.
[Last time they met, things had been interesting between them. And they hadn't really communicated since then. So Din's a little surprised to get this video from Obi-wan.
Still, Din was never one to keep a grudge.]
Yes. You may call me that.
Knighting ceremony? Is that like your coming of age?
[He stopped being angry at Din a long time ago. There had just never been a chance to really get to know each other. Obi-Wan would like for that to change.]
Yes, it’s something like that. It’s when a Jedi goes from being an apprentice to an independent knight.
Cobb watched the astromech droid trundle past him on its way to its charging station. He was still getting used to the droids presence but noted it didn't seem to have any new scuff marks on it. The only thing that wouldn't tolerate the droid was Chenini who tended to attack first.
He makes his way to an armchair with a glass of whiskey and stretches his legs out. He doesn't even look at Din when he speaks. "Bo-Katan apologized to me," he says without preamble. "For how rude she's been to me. Told her not to worry about it."
Cobb had never taken it personal.
"Whatever you two talked about seemed to make a difference."
At this point, R5 isn't the biggest fan of the unicorn either. It didn't take long for the astromech to decide he was only going outside with the creature, when Din and or Cobb was with him. To protect him from it.
Din's gaze also slowly turns as he watches the mech, from where he's seated on the couch. Helmet off, as he's taken to doing around the house ever since the trial. It's equally odd for him just to own one. He never pictured himself owning a droid. But from the movie he saw, apparently he did acquire this one from Peli at some point. Once the droid was in low power to recharge, his gaze turned to Cobb as he spoke up.
"She brought it up, yes." He replies, head tilting a little like he still had the helmet on. "She...wasn't in a great place when she arrived. Even avoiding me." A pause. " She's gotten better being here."
It'll take some time for Cobb to train trust of R5 into Chenini. He's working on it. Still, it's kinda funny to watch the droid flee for its life.
"Oh, I noticed." Cobb nods in agreement. Anyone with two eyes and an ounce of sense in their heads should have noticed Bo-Katan had come from somewhere rough. She wasn't the only one. They all had their share of pain. Cobb hadn't appreciated her taking it out on others but folks had to come out of that on their own.
He sighs and takes a drink. "I invited her over for dinner one of these nights. Never gonna get over whatever's botherin' her on her own if you ask me."
He has a tendency to invite folks over so he tries to warn Din when he's done that. "Said she'd think about it. If you don't mind, that is."
One of the main things Din hates about Folkmore is how quiet it is. There's no bounty hunting to be done, and there was no leaving the planet. Being here almost a year is the longest he's ever stayed on a single planet. So it was, he'd taken to patrols just for something to do, being restless.
He managed to hear the sound of a jetpack just a moment too late to really react. He turns quick, but he still gets plowed into. He rolls with the aerial tackle. He similarly rolls back to his feet in a crouch, right hand quickly drawing out his blaster pistol, bringing it up to point at the attacker.
Recognition makes him temporarily pause, but then the challenge catches up to his head. Far as he was aware he hadn't insulted her honor. But he honestly didn't care. This was a chance for a good spar, with another Mandalorian. He's not fought another Mandalorian since finding the Armorer and Paz.
The warrior in him is excited. "Fine." Is his only response, before he actually fires at her, as he quickly rises from his crouch. There's distance between them, he'll use it to get in closer.
There's a split second of Bo-Katan's eyes widening before she ducks away, his blaster fire bouncing off her Nite Owl pauldron as she rolled away and came back up into a crouched position. He actually SHOT at her! She snorts in amusement and draws her own blaster pistols. Two can play at that game!
Being without a helmet put her at a disadvantage. In fact she was at an extreme disadvantage. Not only did she not have her helmet, but she was missing a lot of the accessories in her armor. Normally Bo-Katan would have activated her shield, but it wasn't there. The only thing she had was her blasters. Which she fires back at him.
While Bo-Katan does her best to conceal it, his keen eye might notice a slight trembling in her right hand as she fires the blasters. Yet another weak point that she had. Though that didn't mean she didn't have a few other tricks up her sleeve.
Living together in the Reef Residences had certainly done wonders for letting Bo and Din get to know each other better. While Ori seemed to have made a game of tipping over R5 any chance he got, the pair of Mandalorians had plenty of time to talk. Bo-Katan also took it upon herself to do the cooking. She had done that for Emmet this past several weeks anyway so she didn’t mind. Letting Din sample various Mandalorian dishes and even the macaroni and cheese recipe that she had perfected for Emmet.
Then one day she prepared to make her usual trip to the hot springs. It was a longer trip to get to Wintermute from Tides, but still worth it. Though that day she had the idea that maybe she didn’t have to go alone. So she asked Din if he would like to come with her. Having to reign in her excitement when he actually accepted the invitation.
Once they got to the springs, and entered the shelter where they could undress and wash off, she explained the process to him. The proper etiquette was to take a quick shower before entering the spring. The bathing area having a few sectioned off stalls. It’s then they parted ways and Bo-Katan, used to all of this, was quick to take off her armor and other clothing. After her brief shower she wrapped a towel around herself and went looking for Din. Glancing in the stalls to see if he was still there. If not she would step out to the spring.
R5 cursing out the dragonite in binary was basically a daily occurrence. But no actual harm was done to the droid, and he could right himself. So Din often didn't pay the game any mind. The talking had been good, but the food was definitely better. Din didn't eat with her, but he sit in one of the bar stools and watch her cook, talked with her while she cooked. A routine he did when he lived with Cobb. He of course didn't know what any of them were, but he could appreciate them. Especially the spices.
He took the invitation with some trepidation. The last time he encountered a hot spring surrounded by a cold environment. He, the kid and a passenger nearly got killed by hundreds of giant ice spiders. So probably one of the first things he does when they part ways, is check chambers for any signs of spiders, or spider eggs. Only once satisfied, would he head for the stalls.
So he's a little behind Bo in terms of the undressing. Fortunately, over the years since the purge, it hadn't become that unusual for the covert to have communal baths. Specially on planets where resources, like water, were scarce or hard to come by. He takes advantage of the stalls, to get everything off, even his undershirt. Rinsing himself off in the shower, before putting the helmet back on, and wrapping a towel around his waist. Before stepping out of the stall. His scales being the seemingly neutral green color for the moment, as he seeks out Bo.
"So...which one are we using?" Do they just pick one?
It was an easy and relaxed routine they had fallen into. She actually liked it when he watched her cook. It gave them more time to talk. Often times she would tell him the history and cultural significance of the food she was making. Educating him on that part of Mandalorian culture. It warmed her heart, particularly since the Din in the Pokemon world never showed much interest. Every day she was reminded how different these two were.
Him checking the area for danger wouldn’t surprise her honestly. She had done much the same the first few times she came to the springs. Now though after visiting several different springs many times she had grown comfortable with them.
When they meet up again she smiles . Taking a moment to appreciate seeing him in only his helmet and a towel. Fortunately she usually picked the least busy time of day to come out, and it was the same now. As far as she could tell they were alone here.
“Whichever one we want,” she tells him. But the managed to catch sight of him from behind. “Din wait… your back.” She couldn’t help but notice the scales. Some unshed or only partially so. Bo-Katan grimaced in concern and sympathy since that’s undoubtably a hard place for him to reach, let alone see. She would fix that.
Ducking back into the bathing area she grabbed a scrub brush and a washcloth. Coming back to look at him questioningly. “May I?”

Bridger. I remember you, yes.

I assume you don’t particularly wish to talk to me, and I understand. However, I wanted to offer you an apology.
Both for the misunderstanding where I thought you might have stolen the youngling, and for my behavior towards you after that.

Thank you. This should be a lesson to not jump to conclusions. [It didn't help that Din didn't get the chance to give the whole story. But still.
A pause.]
I assure you. What I told you was the truth.

Video;
Hello Din? Is it all right if I call you that?
Anyway, I know we haven’t spoken in some time, but I was hoping you might attend my knighting ceremony?
It will be on the 20th by the lakes.

Bo-Katan just flies in and tackles him.
Immediately she’s back on her feet and takes a stance.
“Fight me Djarin.”
Is she insane? Did he insult her honor in some way? Or does she just want to fight? It’s hard to say! But she obviously means business.
I suck at fight scenes, but yolo
