I don't like people that are dishonest. [I-ironic given the situation.] However, I am willing to be more honest. I am aware I'm ten cycles are more ahead of most from our world. I won't give out anything, unless you request.
It's....a long story. [A patient sigh passes through his vocodor.] Maybe I should start from the beginning. [Hope you're sitting, Kenobi. This'll be a long one.]
I was paid, by an imperial remnant, a camtano of Beskar to bring in a high value asset. All they told me, was it was fifty years old, and it's last known location. No name, no picture. [So understandably Din had assumed he was hunting a fully grown person. Even if it made the job sketchy as kriff.]
I had no idea how young he actually was, until I found him. Nor was I aware he had powers, until he saved me from a mudhorn a day later.
[Oh boy, story time. Obi-Wan feels a bit like an eager youngling as Din launches into his story. Setting his relic beside him, the young Jedi stretches out on his bed and folds an arm behind his head as he listens.]
I...don't know. I haven't seen his species before. I haven't seen another like him, since he's been traveling with me. ...the one Jedi, Ahsoka Tano, said she'd only seen one other like him.
[Getting the notification that he’s been sent a picture, Obi-Wan picks up his relic and opens it just as Din says “Yoda”.]
WHAT?!
[Obi-Wan shoots up into a sitting position as he stared at the picture with mouth agape. He had never seen a baby version of Yoda before]
That’s incredible! No wonder you were asking if I knew him. If he is in the temple by my time he’s probably still in the crèche. I’ve only ever known Masters Yoda and Yaddle too. Did you know their species lives hundreds of years?

Thank you. This should be a lesson to not jump to conclusions. [It didn't help that Din didn't get the chance to give the whole story. But still.
A pause.]
I assure you. What I told you was the truth.

Though I hope we can both be more honest with each other moving forward.

If you wouldn’t mind, I would like to hear some stories sometime.

Wait. 50 years old? What kind of species is he?

[And now He'll send a pic of the tiny green gremlin child.]
A Jedi master named Yoda.
